Leather with a promising future

We use 100 percent sustainable, regional leather. Only the hides of animals that have spent a good life on a regenerative, organic or biodynamic farm in Germany or Switzerland are used to produce this leather (this sentence is new).

The tanning is chrome-free and plant-based and is carried out by a traditional company in southern Germany. We can therefore trace where and how the cow lived and how the tanning took place.

The new collars are softer & more supple and get more patina due to their more natural surface structure. Especially the light brown leather (undyed) can react with water and quickly become darker.

A handmade piece of Switzerland

The Appenzeller dog collar is only produced once the order has been received. This is reflected in the longer delivery times. All collars are produced in Appenzell, Switzerland by Daniel Fuchs. Daniel Fuchs produces collars for dogs already in third generation, every single piece is made by hand. For more impressions see "making of".

Leather with a promising future

Since the beginning of the year, the colours black, dark brown, cognac and light brown are our dog collars made of traceable leather: We know where the cow comes from (Demeter or organic farm in Southern Germany), where and how the cow is slaughtered (Fairfleisch in Southern Germany) and where and how the raw hides are tanned (4th generation tannery in Southern Germany, vegetable and without chrome).

The new collars are softer & more supple and get more patina due to their more natural surface structure. Especially the light brown leather (undyed) can react with water and quickly become darker.

Production of an Appenzeller belt

This is where Zurich innovation meets Appenzell tradition!

This exclusive collection combines high-quality, regional leather with sustainable production and reinterprets traditional craftsmanship. A piece of Swiss quality and creativity, made with heart.

For this collaboration, the two brands each drew inspiration from the world of the other. The result is knitted sweaters, T-shirts, foulards and caps, as well as belts, dog collars and a wallet. The sources of inspiration were the ornaments of the Appenzell belt and the classic Appenzell colors: Blood red, ochre, mint and dark green.
