Black, dark brown, cognac & light brown are made from 100% sustainable cowhide, raw material from suckler cow farms in the Surselva (CH) and southern Germany, vegetable & chrome-free tanned in pit tanneries (southern Germany).

Measure correctly
Determination of the collar length: neck circumference of the dog + 6/8cm.
Slim collar:
34 cm, 37 cm, 40 cm, 45 cm + 6 cm surcharge / 50, 55 cm + 8 cm surcharge:
- Neck circumference: 25-29 cm = collar length 34 cm
- Neck circumference: 30-32 cm = collar length 37 cm
- Neck circumference: 33-35 cm = collar length 40 cm
- Neck circumference: 36-41 cm = collar length 45 cm
- Neck circumference: 42-44 cm = collar length 50 cm
- Neck circumference: 45-49 cm = collar length 55 cm
Wide collar:

Leather with a promising future
Since the beginning of 2020, the colors black, dark brown, cognac and light brown are our dog collars made of traceable leather: we know where the cow comes from (organic farm or grass-fed in Surselva), where and how the cow is slaughtered (butchery in Surselva) and where and how the raw hides are tanned (4th generation tannery in southern Germany, vegetable and without chrome).
The new swiss collars are softer & more supple and get more patina due to their more natural surface structure. Especially the light brown leather (undyed) can react with water and we quickly darken.
Attention: The red leather may stain light-colored dogs in contact with water.

A handmade piece of Switzerland
The Appenzeller dog collar is only produced once the order has been received. This is reflected in the longer delivery times. All collars are produced in Appenzell, Switzerland by Daniel Fuchs. Daniel Fuchs produces collars for dogs already in third generation, every single piece is made by hand. For more impressions see "making of".
