"Sofia, what's the story behind your belt, how did you get the belt?"
I'm from New York, but I work for a company based in Zurich. I had the opportunity to visit Switzerland last summer and immediately fell in love with the country. I was blown away by the idyllic mountains and landscapes with cows on the side of the road - a sight that has always been close to my heart, having driven through rural Upstate New York many times as a child. I told a Swiss friend about it after seeing that he owned this cool cow-covered belts ... he filled me in on the history of the belt and gave me my own belts, before I returned to New York.
For me, this belt is a cherished link between my time in Switzerland, my love for cows, and my appreciation of vintage aesthetics.

Why are you wearing the belt?
The particular one I have is a vintage piece, I love its worn appearance and charm. I have a more minimalist style, so I enjoy having a piece like this that subtly adds a statement.
Comments on the belt?
Wearing it back in New York, it often draws attention and, with some even recognizing its Swiss origin. I wore it on my first day back at work in the States and people could tell I just returned from travels in Switzerland, sparking fun conversations. This souvenir is so much more personal than a “I love Switzerland” fridge magnet. For me, this belt is a cherished link between my time in Switzerland, my love for cows, and my appreciation of vintage aesthetics.
